    1. Visitor FAQs

    Why have you decided to postpone WTM Latin America?

    • Following the continuing escalation of the COVID-19 pandemic in Latin America and Worldwide and the importance of the health and safety of our exhibitors, visitors and staff, we have made the decision to postpone WTM Latin America.
    • The situation has been aggravated with travel restrictions in place in many countries and in many companies which will interfere with our holding of the event.
    • The rapid increase in the number of coronavirus cases in Brazil has resulted in the São Paulo state government officially announcing that events, like WTM Latin America, can only occur if the place where they are to be held is in Phase 4 (green) and had been in the previous phase (3 – yellow) for at least 28 days consecutively. However, the number of cases of coronavirus in Brazil has still not stabilized or started to reduce.

    We apologise for the inconvenience that the postponement may cause

    Taking all these factors into consideration and the major importance of this event to the travel industry/community, we believe it is the best course of action to postpone the event so we are able to deliver to you, the high quality business event that you have come to expect, next year.

    Have all events associated with WTM Latin America also been postponed?

    Yes, all component parts of WTM Latin America have been postponed.

    When will the postponed WTM Latin America now take place? And where?

    When: April 6th to 8th, 2021
    Where: Expo Center Norte, São Paulo, Brasil.

    Is my visitor registration still valid?

    We are hoping that all visitor registrations/tickets will remain valid for the new event dates.

    However we are currently looking into this and we will let you know shortly whether you will have to register again for the 2021 edition.

    What about already booked travel and hotel accommodation?

    You will have to contact the respective tour operator, airline and hotel you made your booking with and check your travel insurance.

    What if the Covid-19 situation is unchanged or worse next year?

    We have considered this possibility and chosen a date from those available, which provides a better chance of us being able to deliver the event and avoid more disruption. However, the Covid-19 situation has, and continues to be, dynamic and we will continue to monitor the situation throughout the year and take the appropriate actions accordingly. We are hopeful that travel confidence will have been restored by April next year.

    Why is WTM Latin America postponed?

    • Because the health and safety of all our participants (exhibitors, visitors and staff) is our number one priority and we are concerned by the continuing escalation of the COVID-19 pandemic in Latin America and worldwide.
    • The situation has been aggravated with travel restrictions in place in many countries and in many companies which will interfere with our holding of WTM Latin America
    • Rapid escalation of cases of the Coronavirus in Brazil has resulted in the São Paulo government officially announcing that events, such as WTM Latin America, can only take place after October 12th if the state maintain a green status of the virus evolution for at least 28 days before this date. However the number of cases of the virus in Brazil has not yet stabilised or started to decrease.

    We apologise for any inconvenience that this postponement may cause. Taking all these factors into consideration and the major importance of WTM Latin America to the travel industry, we believe it is the best course of action to postpone the event so we are able to deliver to you, the high quality business event that you have come to expect, next year.

    What happens to my participation costs/ payments already made to Reed Exhibitions?

    The executed contracts between Reed Exhibitions and exhibitors will continue in respect of the new dates and your monies will be rolled over. Our commercial team will be available for any clarification.

    Will I receive a new Contract to exhibit for the postponed Event?

    The executed contracts between Reed Exhibitions and exhibitors will continue in respect of the new dates and your monies will be rolled over. Our commercial team will be available for any clarification.

    Do I have any further claims against Reed Exhibitions due to the postponement of the event, e.g. cancellation costs for hotel, stand builders, flights, freight, venue services etc.?

    • Reed Exhibitions will not be liable for any loss or costs incurred by exhibitors for hotels, flights etc. as a result of the postponement. Please speak to your Suppliers directly and check your travel insurance policy.
    • Please note that the Exhibitor Indemnity that you may have purchased does not include cover for communicable diseases

    What happens to orders already placed with the Venue?

    We would advise you to refer to the Venue directly on this matter.

    Will I have the same location in the same hall with the new date?

    • We are in the process of reviewing the original Event floor plan and will be able to understand the impact in the coming weeks.
    • In the unlikely event there is an impact we will discuss these with any exhibitors who may be affected and will work with them to find the best solution.

    I have already cancelled my contract to exhibit due to the Coronavirus, may I cancel my cancellation and attend the postponed Event?

    • Yes!
    • However, if you intend to participate in the event on the new dates, we must check whether your originally agreed stand position is still available.
