    1. Visitor FAQs

    Why have you decided to postpone the Event?

    • Following the escalation of COVID-19 epidemic/pandemic in Brazil and Worldwide and the importance of the health and safety of our exhibitors, visitors, partners and staff, we have made the decision to postpone the event.
    • In addition there are travel bans in place in many companies which will interfere with our holding of the Event.
    • Recent travel restrictions from US and European countries have also made it increasingly difficult for our international exhibitors [and visitors] to attend
    • We also wanted to give our exhibitors, visitors and everyone involved in the event, as much notice as possible to avoid additional costs and inconvenience. 

    We apologise for the inconvenience that the postponement may cause
    Taking all these factors into consideration and the major importance of this event to the industry/community, we believe it is the best course of action to postpone the event so we are able to deliver the high quality business event that you have come to expect, later in the year/next year.

     

    Have all events associated with the event been postponed?

    Yes, all component parts of the event have been postponed.

    Is the Event being postponed due to a Force Majeure Event?

    Yes, the COVID-19 pandemic is certainly unprecedented, outside our control and is interfering with our obligation to hold the event. 

    When will the postponed Event now take place? And where?

    When: 20 – 22 October 2020
    Where: Expo Center Norte, São Paulo, Brazil

    Is my visitor registration still valid?

    Yes, all visitor registrations will remain valid for the new event dates.

    We will be sending you a ‘one-click’ email in the coming weeks so you can quickly and easily reconfirm you are able to attend.

    What about already booked travel and hotel accommodation?

    You will have to contact the respective tour operator, airline and hotel you made your booking with and check your travel insurance.

    What if the Covid-19 situation is unchanged or worse later in the year?

    We have considered this possibility and chosen a date from those available, which provides a better chance of us being able to deliver the event and avoid more disruption. However, the Covid-19 situation has, and continues to be, dynamic and we will continue to monitor the situation throughout the year and take the appropriate actions accordingly. We are hopeful that travel confidence will have been restored by the revised event dates [and flight bans and government restrictions will have been relaxed]

    Why have you not just cancelled the 2020 event?

    Feedback from exhibitors and visitors is that they very much want the event to go ahead this year and, as organisers, we want to be able to deliver the expected value to those organisations

    Will the 2021 Event still take place?

    Yes! WTM Latin America 2021 is not affected by this postponement.

    Why is the Event postponed?

    • Because the health and safety of all our participants (exhibitors, visitors, partners and staff ) is our number one priority and we are concerned by the escalation of the COVID-19 pandemic/epidemic in  Brazil and worldwide
    • The situation has been aggravated recently with a rapid escalation of cases of the Coronavirus in Brazil, increasing public health concerns and continually evolving government advice which will interfere with our holding of the event.
    • In addition there are travel bans in place in many companies and country restrictions on travel around the world.
    • Recent travel bans from US and European countries have also made it increasingly difficult for our international exhibitors [and visitors] to attend.
    • We also wanted to give our exhibitors, and everyone involved in the event, as much notice as possible to avoid additional costs and inconvenience. ]

    We apologise for any inconvenience that this postponement may cause.     What happens to my participation costs/ payments already made to Reed Exhibitions? Can I get a refund?

    Will I receive a new contract to exhibit for the postponed event?

    Please contact your account executive in WTM Latin America for further details.

    Do I have any further claims against Reed Exhibitions due to the postponement of the event, e.g. cancellation costs for hotel, stand builders, flights, freight, venue services etc.? 

    • Reed Exhibitions will not be liable for any loss or costs incurred by exhibitors for hotels , flights etc. as a result of the postponement. Please speak to your suppliers directly and check your travel insurance policy.

    • Please note that the Exhibitor Indemnity that you may have purchased does not include cover for communicable diseases

    What happens to orders already placed with the venue?

    We would advise you to refer to the venue directly on this matter, they are available to discuss at your convenience.

    Will I have the same location in the same hall on the new dates?

    Please contact your account executive in WTM Latin America for further details. 

    Will the 2021 Event still take place? 

    Yes! WTM Latin America 2021 is not affected by this postponement.

    I have already cancelled my contract to exhibit due to the Coronavirus, may I cancel my cancellation and attend the postponed event?

    • Yes!
    • However, if you intend to participate in the event on the new dates, we must check whether your originally agreed stand position is still available.
